BTEC Sport Tutoring – Stepping Up from GCSE PE
Moving from GCSE PE to BTEC Sport Level 3 is a big step. The demands are higher, the content is more detailed, and students are expected to apply their knowledge in greater depth.
Many students who were successful at GCSE PE can find the transition challenging – particularly when faced with the Unit 1 Anatomy and Physiology exam and the externally assessed tasks in Unit 2 (Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Well-being) and Unit 22 (Investigating Business in Sport and the Active Leisure Industry).
This is where my tutoring makes a real difference.
I specialise in guiding students through the jump from GCSE to BTEC Sport, making sure they not only understand the content but also develop the skills to apply it under exam conditions. My approach blends clear, structured explanations with plenty of practice questions, exam-style tasks, and feedback that helps students improve quickly.
- Unit 1 (Exam) – I break down complex anatomy and physiology into manageable sections, using diagrams, practice quizzes, and applied sporting examples to ensure students really grasp the content.
- Unit 2 (Controlled Assessment) – I coach students through analysing case studies, building structured fitness programmes, and applying training principles with precision.
- Unit 22 (Controlled Assessment) – I help students connect theory with practice, making sense of the business side of sport and guiding them on how to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.
With my support, students feel more confident, prepared, and capable of achieving the high grades they need for their future studies or careers in sport.
I look forward to working with you and maximising your potential.
