Now that school life is beginning to resemble some form of normality after the busyness of the first few weeks of term, it’s time to think about the importance of using up-to-date sporting examples in our teaching of PE.
Because let’s face it, no one wants to hear about a sports legend who hung up their boots before our students were even born!
We’ve had an amazing summer of sport with international and domestic teams and individuals achieving great feats and so I thought it would be useful to collate some of the highlights and achievements of the summer of 2023 so that we can be right up to speed with our examples in order to connect with our students.
These examples are in no particular order of preference or priority, they’re just here for you to see and quickly access. No doubt I’ve missed some great sporting events, so apologies in advance, if I have not included them.
